York United Academy Tryouts
YORK UNITED FC: ACADEMY OPEN TRYOUTS
As part of our continued investment in Canadian talent, York United FC is proud to announce open tryouts for its Academy program ahead of the 2026 season. These sessions will help identify players for our U21 and U19 teams competing in League1 Ontario, a key step in the club’s long-term development structure connected directly to the Canadian Premier League First Team.
The tryouts are open to male athletes born between 2006 and 2010. All sessions will take place at Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Spaces are limited, and players must register in advance.
Player Eligibility
- Male athletes born from 2006 to 2010.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- All players are responsible for their own travel, food, and accommodations.
• No refunds will be issued, except in the event of cancellation by the club.
Cost
$75.00 CAD per player (covers all three days of tryouts for each age group).
Please note: registration fees are non-refundable unless the tryout is officially cancelled.
Tryout Schedule by Birth Year
- 2007: October 6, 7 & 9 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- 2010: October 14 & 16 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- 2009: October 20, 21 & 22 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- 2008: October 27, 28 & 29 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- 2006: October 30 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Important Note
All official emails from York United FC regarding the tryouts will come from addresses ending in @yorkunitedfc.ca. We do not use public domains such as @gmail, @hotmail, or @outlook for tryout-related communication.
