York United Academy Tryouts
YORK UNITED FC: ACADEMY TRYOUTS
As part of our continued investment in Canadian talent, we are proud to announce an additional round of tryouts for our Academy program.
These sessions are open to male players born between 2011 and 2013 and are designed to identify and develop promising young athletes within our high-performance environment.
Our academy teams will fall under our club’s professional structure and thus be sanctioned directly by Canada Soccer. In terms of competition, our yearly calendar will include matches, tournaments and showcases against top local, national and international competition. As the Canadian Premier League continues to expand and invest in League1 and youth development across the country, other CPL clubs are expected to adopt a similar approach, helping to build a stronger and more unified soccer ecosystem nationwide.
The York United FC tryouts will be held in October and November 2025 at Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre (7601 Martin Grove Rd, Vaughan, ON L4L 9E4) and are open to male athletes born between 2011 and 2013. Spaces are limited, and players must register in advance.
Player Eligibility
- Male athletes born from 2011 to 2013.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• No refunds will be issued, except in the event of cancellation by the club.
Cost
$47.00 CAD per player (covers all three days of tryouts for each age group).
What’s included in my tryout fee?
The $47.00 CAD fee covers all three high-performance training sessions scheduled for each age group. Players may attend every session within their assigned week. Sessions will be led by professional coaching staff from York United FC and designed to assess players in a competitive, structured environment.
Hydration will be provided for all participants throughout the sessions. Our media team will be on site throughout the tryouts to capture professional photography of the event.
All players are responsible for their own transportation and personal expenses.

- 2013: November 24 | 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
- 2013: November 25 | 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
- 2013: November 26 | 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
- Registration 2 (U-14 & U-15 | 2012 & 2011):
- 2012 & 2011: December 1 | 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
- 2012 & 2011: December 2 | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- 2012 & 2011: December 3 | 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
*Each registration grants access to a full three-day tryout block per player.
Where are the tryouts being held?
Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre (7601 Martin Grove Rd, Vaughan, ON L4L 9E4).
What to wear?
Players are required to arrive wearing a white shirt, white shorts, and white socks. Each player must bring their own cleats; metal studs are strictly prohibited.
Registration Details
Once payment is completed, players will receive a confirmation email with instructions to submit their full application, including playing and contact information.
Important Note
All official emails from York United FC regarding the tryouts will come from addresses ending in @yorkunitedfc.ca. We do not use public domains such as @gmail, @hotmail, or @outlook for tryout-related communication.
