
Forge FC x Sigma FC
Since its inauguration in 2018, Forge FC has maintained a close partnership with Sigma FC. This powerhouse youth soccer academy, co-founded by Forge FC Head Coach and Sporting Director Bobby Smyrniotis, is renowned as one of North America’s leading development programs.
A Legacy of Excellence and Development
Sigma FC’s impressive track record speaks for itself. The program has produced over 20 youth national team players, eight senior ‘A’ national team players, and 30+ professionals who have played in North America and internationally. Notable alumni include Canadian Men’s National Team stars Cyle Larin, Kyle Richie Laryea, and Manjrekar James. Remarkably, at least one Sigma graduate has been included in each of the 37 Canadian Men’s National Team camps since January 2013. Additionally, more than 160 Sigma graduates have earned scholarships to play NCAA and U Sports soccer.

The connection between Sigma FC and Forge FC is more than just developmental—it’s foundational. Over 25+ graduates from the Sigma FC program have signed with Forge FC, bringing their exceptional skills and training to the professional stage. This illustrious group includes long-time Captain Kyle Bekker, 2023 CPL Goalkeeper of the Year Triston Henry, and many more standout players who have made significant contributions to Forge FC’s success.
League 1 Ontario Affiliate Club
As part of the Canadian Premier League’s Downward Player Movement Pilot Project, Forge FC can send players to Sigma FC to gain additional playing time in competitive matches. This innovative approach ensures that developing players receive crucial match experience, contributing to their growth and readiness for higher levels of competition.
Unified in Spirit and Colours
Sigma FC proudly incorporates Forge FC’s Spark Orange as its secondary colour and features the Forge FC patch on the sleeves of their kits. This visual unity symbolizes the deep connection and shared philosophy between the two clubs, highlighting their collective commitment to soccer excellence.
